Covid-19 Pandemic – 2nd Phase of Distress Relief Activities (16/04/2020)

In the first phase of lock-down in the country due to COVID-19 pandemic, Sri Ramakrishna Advaita Ashrama, Kalady started relief activities with supplies of rice, dal, groceries and sanitary items to the migrated labourers and other weak sections of Kalaldy Panchayat.

With the declaration of extension of the lock-down by the government from 15/04/2020 to 03/05/2020, we started the second phase of our relief activities. Monks and volunteers visited Mullaringadu and Vellakkayam, thick forest regions in the Idukki the district under the Forest Division of Kothamangalam and distributed relief kits containing the following items to 52 tribal/Adivasi families:

1. Rice 5 kgs.

2. Dal 1 kg.

3. Potato 5 kgs.

4. Onion 5 kgs.

5. Salt 1 kg.

6. Oil 2 ltrs.

7. Chilly Powder 1 kg.

8. Coriander power 1 kg.

9. Soaps 3 nos.

10. Washing Powder 1 kg.

11. Lyzol ½ ltr.

12. Mask 3 pcs.

The team was accompanied and supported by the Forest Officers under the Kothamangalam Forest Division. Our relief work will continue.
